Villa Tron Mioni offers you the chance of staying in a historical house in the less known tourist setting of the Brenta Riviera, with its important cultural, artistic, historical and gastronomic routes.
This holiday accommodation is situated on the banks of the River Brenta at Ca' Tron approximately half way between Venice and Padua making it an ideal choice for anyone exploring the area.
The villa was originally built in the early 17th century and subsequently destroyed by Napoleonic troops, and of the original buildings only the octagonal oratory remains with its frescoed walls and magnificent marble altar attributed to Filippo Parodi. The villa was then rebuilt by the Carrara family from Bergamo and the estate remained in their possession until the start of the 20th century when it passed by marriage to the Mioni family who have it still as their permanent residence.
The historic park surrounded by antique walls covers around five hectares and was designed in 19th century romantic style with a lovely pond, streams, knolls, groves and winding paths. There is even an atmospheric ruin on a knoll sheltered by ancient trees which houses the perfectly preserved icehouse. There is also an orchard boasting some old varieties which produce delicious fruit for the estate's homemade preserves.
Accommodation at Villa tron is offered all year long for minimum stays of two nights. There is a double room with private bathroom and a large terrace looking over the park, and on the floor above there is a suite with a double and a single room and bathroom. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully furnished in traditional style giving you a glimpse of a time gone by in this historical home.
