Situated on the banks of the River Adige, the Sartori Family await to welcome you for an unforgettable stay at La Pila, a farm whose origins date back to 1733, today restructured to include five bedrooms and 2 apartments for those families who appreciate the relaxing atmosphere of a holiday farm, including sport, art and culture, good food and healthy living.

This large Italy farm estate, which is gradually moving over to completely organic farming, grows fruit and crops. But above all, the owners have concentrated on preserving the farm buildings, and restoring the courtyard and the entire estate to the lifestyle that characterised it for almost three centuries.

They have renovated the tobacco drying rooms to create five rooms and two small apartments, while the old granaries have become living areas and storage rooms, have been transformed into a spacious kitchen (at guests’ disposal) and a mini-gym with keep-fit equipment. The shed has been converted into a lovely veranda.

Even the farmyard has had a facelift. In the old walled-in garden known as the brolo, between rows of kiwis, the owners have constructed a 7.5 x 15 metre swimming pool (warmed and equipped with hydro-massage). There is a little herb garden and a thriving vegetable plot, and they are now busy growing a rose garden and, perhaps, building a barbecue corner. All this against the background of a spectacular row of ancient magnolia trees visible even at a distance.

There is a varied choice of rooms at these farm holidays close to Verona, northern Italy. All have hairdryers, some have showers, some baths. Albicocca (Apricot) with its own front door, sleeps up to 3. Very close to the entrance of the portico and of the main lounges, this big room is on the ground floor, accessed from the courtyard. Very bright, it has a window on the courtyard, under the new vine pergola and facing the rose bed.

Ciliegia (Cherry) sleeps up to 3 and has its own front door on the ground floor. It faces the roses and the pool, and has a king-size bed plus sofa-bed. This room with bath is good for guests with mobility problems.

Fragola (Strawberry) sleeps up to 3 on the ground floor. Its front door is under the vine-clad pergola. It faces the roses, has a bath tub, and is perfect for guests with disabilities.

Mela (Apple) sleeps up to 3, and lies on the first floor, accessed from the lounge. Its big arched window looks onto the pool and the kiwi orchard. It has a shower. For large families, this room can be joined to the mini-apartment Nespola and so constitute a unique property with the living room and three bedrooms for 6/8 people.

Apartment Nespola (Medlar) is a first-floor flat sleeping up to 6. It has a big living room with a table for 6, armchair, double sofabed, old sideboard, kitchen corner (washbasin, two electric hotplates, microwave oven and refrigerator) and colour TV. The big arched window, facing south, looks onto the orchard and swimming pool. Another window gives lovely morning views onto the Euganei hills and the Lessini mountains.

One room, with a big arched window, is furnished with a big king size bed. On clear days you can see the Appennine mountains. The big bathroom, with window, has a bath tub. On the ‘morning’ side is a second room, with two windows, with two beds (separate or to be combined as a king size bed). It is directly linked with a small private bathroom, with shower. Both bathrooms are equipped with hair-dryers. This apartment can be joined with Mela, making up an apartment for 8, with a living room and three bedrooms.

Pera (Pear) is on the second floor, sleeping 3. It has a high wooden ceiling, and windows onto the kiwi orchard, the pool, and the farm beyond the stables. There is a bathroom with shower. This can be joined with Pesca to form an apartment for 8.

Apartment Pesca (Peach) is on the second floor, accessed from the lounge. Sleeping up to 6, this apartment has a high wooden ceiling. It has a big living room with a table for 6 people, armchair, sofa to be transformed into a double bed, old sideboard, kitchen corner (washbasin, two electric hotplates, microwave oven and refrigerator) and colour TV. One window, facing south, looks onto the kiwi orchard and swimming pool. A second window gets the morning light and looks onto the Euganei hills and Lessini mountains.
